We offer virtual sessions year-round. Sessions will be done over video chat through the secure Jane App. Online psychotherapy sessions are typically 50-55 minutes long (depending on the therapist).
As a clinic, we also have an eco-therapy focus. By definition, eco-therapy is a style of psychotherapy that rests on the idea that people have a deep connection to their environment and to the earth itself.
During the summer months, certain therapists offer in-person therapy sessions at our outdoor space, Willow Grove. If this option interests you or you would like to learn more, you can inquire which therapists offer outdoor therapy sessions here.

Therapy may be right for you if you're looking to improve your mental health and well-being. Our therapists specialize in working with individuals dealing with several different issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, trauma, school issues, career concerns, chronic pain, grief, infertility, family & relationship issues, and spirituality.
Our therapy is not the right solution for you if any of the following is true:
You are in an urgent crisis or an emergency situation
You are seeking a psychological assessment or medical intervention (medication)
You are under the age of 15 and are seeking therapy (our therapists currently see teens ages 15+)
You aren’t interested in discussing your experiences in depth. Talk therapy isn’t for everyone, and that’s ok! There are other healing modalities out there that don’t involve talking (acupuncture, reiki, etc)

After we receive your inquiry via email, our administrative staff will reach out to you within 24-48 hours. If you haven’t already decided on a therapist, our administrative staff will suggest a therapist based on your needs and preferences. Once we have found a match, you will receive an email with dates and times the therapist is available for a free 15-minute phone consultation. After you have completed your consultation, if you believe it's a good fit and would like to continue with regular sessions, your therapist will book you in for a full session on a time and date that is convenient for you.
Note: Every therapist has a different approach and focus, if you complete a consultation and believe that it's not the right fit for you, you can always request to speak with a different therapist. As a clinic, we keep your best interest in mind and know the importance of having someone who can help you reach the goals you are looking to achieve while in therapy.

Insurance coverage depends on your insurance provider. Some insurance companies will not fund sessions with psychotherapists in the qualifying stage. Every company is different. We invite you to check with your insurance companies to confirm what your coverage is. You can ask them if your coverage funds psychotherapy services offered by registered psychotherapists (RPs), or registered psychotherapists-qualifying (RPQs).
-
We do not do direct billing. Clients pay out of pocket and get reimbursed by submitting the official receipt to the insurance company.
-
We accept payment by credit card. During your first session, we will ask that you upload your credit card information to our secure payment system. This will ease the transaction process as we’ll be able to process payment automatically following sessions.

Typically, you do not need a referral from a clinician to see a psychotherapist. However, if you are claiming sessions through your insurance, some plans require a physician’s referral, so it is advised that you check with your insurance plan before beginning sessions.

We require 24 hours notice prior to cancelling a session. In the event that this isn’t done, you will be responsible for paying the full amount of your session. We kindly ask that you provide 24 hours' notice by contacting us via email (laurenwallis.psychotherapy@gmail.com).
Providing less than 24 hours’ notice, or missing a session without notice, will result in the charge of a full session fee.
A 50% fee will apply if you cancel with less than one week’s notice but more than 24 hours. If, however, the session can be rescheduled to a mutually convenient time within 10 days, this fee will be waived.
